Description
Inline has opportunities available for survey students starting spring 2025. You will be supporting aspects of quality control/quality assurance testing and surveying in the field at various projects across Canada.
To be strong candidate, you will need to be able to work on tight deadlines, be organized, have great attention to detail, and have exceptional verbal and written communication skills. However, a successful candidate will be eager to learn, have a great attitude, be a team player and is excited to grow their skills. Key Responsibilities
Safety
· Actively participate in Inline Group Inc. corporate HSE program
· Actively participate in all client mandated safety programs
· Encourage safe work, safety & quality interventions. Lead by example for both fellow coworkers and all project personnel
Surveying
· Record and maintain daily field notes of survey activities
· Perform various aspects of industrial & civil survey tasks accurately and efficiently
· Troubleshoot and maintain survey equipment & vehicles
· Effectively communicate with the Client, Drafters and PMs/Supervisors
· Refer to construction drawings and specifications
· Report any non-conformance concerns to the management
· Assist surveyor with precision layout for industrial projects
· Facilitate and maintain strong positive client relations
· Actively participate in Inline ISO 9001 Quality Program
Minimum Qualification, Experience & Skills
· In the process of completing a Civil Engineering/Geomatics related program
· CSTS 2020, CSO, WHMIS 2015 certifications (Inline will help you obtain certifications)
· Drivers License/Clean drivers abstract
· Effective communicator
· Ability to take instruction
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to lift 50 LBS
· Enjoys working outside
Fly In, Fly Out (FIFO) Project Highlights
· Projects are located in remote areas throughout Canada
· Accommodations and meals are provided at zero cost to the employee
· Fully paid flights or a flight allowance are provided to the employee to assist with transportation to and from the project site. Flight arrangements will vary depending on the worksite
· 80% more over time than a traditional 40-hour workweek (10-12 hour workdays)
· Scheduled work shifts (IE. 14 days on, 14 days off or 14 days on, 7 days off). Shifts will vary depending on the worksite
